It has been done time and time again. Politicians using their *political clout* so to speak to gain favors or have the rules bent for them. Today’s political exploiter is Curtis Bramble, Utah Senate Majority Leader. It seems like Bramble has been in several controversies lately, and this is one of them. He ordered from his local Dominos. No problem. However, when the delivery person brought the pizzas to him and he tried to pay with a check, she reminded him that Dominos does not accept checks (which is not a new policy either – when you order they ask if it will be credit or cash). That is when he went off. You will want to read her blog entry to read the entire event.
Note to Senator Bramble: Why do you think you are so important that the rules need to be broken for YOU? It was only pizza. Do you not have a credit card or cash? There is no excuse for your behavior, especially your condescending attitude. It does not matter if you have ever bounced a check. Many people have not, but Dominos (and many other places for that fact, including McDonald’s – or do you expect them to bend the rules for you too?) still will not take their check. However, I am very happy that Dominos did not give in to you and your condescending attitude. Especially since it has beome apparent that this is not an isolated incident, as comments at the KSL site and the Brambles Follies prove. No one wants your business anyway.
